So I already installed 36sq ft of Second Skin Damplifier Pro just for the rear speaker location and the rear seat area. Dont worry pics will come soon. Anyways everything is covered and it made a HUGE difference but I still wasnt satisfied. I went to Lowes this morning to see if I could find any closed cell mating materials. Well I found on a roll by the carpets a grey vinyl flooring. Its 1/2 inch think and does not smell. Flat surface on one side (good for gluing) and a ribbed front side. I bought 3 yards for 17 dollars and 3m supper 77.

im about to cut and cover over some of the Damplifier closer to the wheel wheels and the back cuby area of the rear speaker.

has anyone done this yet?

I haven't used exactly what you described, but am sure it'll work fine, as I've done a lot of similar things over the years. You can even go to a discount fabric store and buy thick vinyl in bulk really cheap, cut to fit and affix with 3m super 77. Works just as good as anything else, while costing MUCH less.

 

sorry everyone, no pics yet. ive been busy working and messing with the car at night. I should have some up soon. I just finished using RAAMAT and ther neoprene stuff on the back of the car and floors. Next will be the doors
