i am currently about to switch from a sealed box facing the back to upfiring from the floor to help with spl/sq. but am in the debate of keeping my current zx750.1 amp and getting an L5 12" dual 2 ohm, or if i should keep my 2-10" kicker comp vr 10's and get the 1000.1 amp to replace the 750.1. basically i am trying to find out which will be louder? i know getting the one 12"L5 is cheaper than new amp. ( if i had the money i'd have 2 L5's and new amp but money for stuff like that isn't really in my budget)

any suggestions

 

Kicker is loud but they're not very musical at all. If you're simply looking at loudness probably the l5 with the 1000.1 will be louder but since that isn't an option the 2 10's will be louder than the one 12" but the 12 will go deeper. whats your budget maybe i can find some other things for you to look at.

 

kicker imo is not that great in sound quality when i had them. when I swich to diamond audio d3 and they were clean and hit hits, same when i had jl

I had 2 kicker L5's 12 inchers. it reminded me of when I was in high school and could wake up the whole nighborhood and set of car alarms while driving by.

But, not the best for Sound quality. Hope Nebster doesn't yell at me for reiterating him....

 

i ahve kickers CVX and i love them lots off bass

 

i have enough for either the amp for the 2-cvr's that i have now, or if its better hit the 12. its mostly just to have for some spl in a smaller class since they are d!cks about loud music here so i dont drive with the bass up too loud. so prob close to 250 (which i might have my old box and amp sold, which would be nice)

 

A 12" Fi SSD (dual 1) would be pretty nice on your zx750.1. Better sq than the L5 as well. Only around $200 shipped.

im trying to get the Kicker 06ZX1500.1, that amp is a beast from what ive heard

i have two cvr's right now and they hit really hard with my cheap lanzar amp pushing them

i mean this is what it did to my car






my cvrs sounds pretty nice, but if you only have the option of getting the new amp or getting the L5 id go with getting the new amp.

but you should really just get two new cvx's. thats also what im saving up for loll

i have a 12" L5 in a kicker made ported box with a kicker 400.1 amp and it hits really hard with the amp turned 1/4 for DD but when i turn it all the way up. i know it can push alot more but eh i does and plus it was given to me so i can't complain about it.
