AUDIO expert help needed with speaker amplifier
Hi. im currently running on a f90bt
i currently purchased a 5 way amp 300 watt for sub and 200 for speakers. i have already hooked up my subwoofer works fine. but i have some questions for ampinng up the speakers.. i already have the rcas hooked up for the speakers just need to know how to run the wires.
1. should i tap a speaker wire for - and + to each speaker from amp. do i disconnect the wire that goes to the head unit or leave the wire in and just tap into them or should i take the wire off that goes to the head unit and have it only going to the amp?
2. should i tap into the speaker wire harness behind the deck.
3. or should i cut off the speaker wires that go to the deck and run wires to the wires that are coming from my speakers to deck that i cut off?

do i need to remove the wire that goes to the head unit to speaker or leave it in? might be confusing what im asking but do i need to only run 1 wire to the speaker from the amp and nothing from speaker to head unit?
well are you using the factory speakers or aftermarket speakers? if it's aftermarket just run the + and - wires to it without having to mess around with the stock wiring. as for stock speakers they should already sound alot better with the f90bt headunit if tuned correctly, i personally wouldn't bother with amping the stock speakers as they are somewhat ok but it's your call. as for wiring it you can tap the stock wiring if you want but here's the thing, stock speakers have a plug with 4 male connections so your gonna have to get a voltagemeter and figure out which wire is what as in + and -
as for the wiring behind the headunit just leave it alone even if your wiring aftermarket speakers.

Effectively giving the same answer twice, worded differently, because it's important that this is understood.
You can either power your speakers from the headunit, or from an external amp, but you shouldn't have both the headunit and external amp connected to the same speakers at the same time.
In this situation most people run new speaker wire from the amp to each speaker, so the stock speaker wiring isn't used. If you don't want to do that, you can run new speaker wires from the amp to the headunit, and (after disconnecting the stock speaker wires from the headunit) splice into the stock speaker wiring, such that you don't have to remove the kick panels, door panels, rear side panels, etc.
Yes, disconnect the speaker wiring from the headunit. No, do not leave the headunit's speaker wires connected directly to the speakers.
