Ok heres my setup:

Sirius InV tuner, playing through built in fm modulator
stock 2005 radio
Ma Audio 2,000 watt amp
2- 10" Infinity reference subs in sealed enclosure
streetwires wiring
4 gauge power ground cables
audio pipe LOC

now heres the problem, when i have a cd on and amp turned on for the subs the system is static free but when i have the FM on or sat radio and subs on i have alot of static feedback in the speakers, turn the switch for the amp off and it goes completely away???

this is bothering me have any idea what would be cause this?
I have a switch placed in the stock location(fog light switch area), one end goes to amp turn on on amp and other end goes the radio harness and is tapped into the gray wire. which i believe is the ignition + wire, and LOC is tapped into rear speakers at head unit harness.

your power cable might be to close to ur FM tuner or antenna cable and creating interference possibly

anyone have any idea on what side the antenna wire runs from the antenna to the headunit? i have both my power and remote wires running along the drivers side of the car.

also you think if i add a noise filter to my remote line it would help at all?

 

Noise filters may help a little bit but you will still have static. Where are your RCAs run? If they are on the opposite side of the car, check to see if there is another power source on that side like a power wire running to the fuel pump or other component in the car. Also check to see where your LOC is resting and that it doesn't rest on a large bundle of wires. Have you adjusted the frequency on the sat radio?
