Default auto gear shift

i'm wondering if there's anyway i can put a bag, or whatever you call it (the loose leather thing around the stick) around the shift **** in an automatic tC. anyone know if i can? or how? or where i can order one? i'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking i have a manual, i just really don't like the way the thing looks. having that P, R, D, 3 crap really bothers me, and i don't like the jagged line it makes.

so, if i can do it, and you know what i need to buy, i'd appreciate links.

thanks.

It's called a boot, and yea its perfectly possible. Plenty of people here have done it.

You can either get the OEM boot from the dealer or get a nicer one from RedLineGoods, a sponsor here

I've done it. I got shift boot from dealership and it was about $38

and installation only took 5 min or less.

k thanks. i'll talk to them about it. totally stoked that i can actually do this. it seemed perfectly reasonable in my head that it could be done, but i'd never heard of anyone doing it before. i want an automatic, but i almost got a manual because of how ugly the gear indicator looked. now i get the best of both worlds. sweet.

haha. goto the dealership and ask them for MT shift boot and an OBX ****, then all you do is pull out the area with the cig lighter, yank out all of the AT plate from that piece, and the MT shift boot clips right into place (perfectly, because it is an OEM piece)
