Im looking for the shift boot swap for an automatic.
I've seen it done before.
Anyone have a part number? I've heard you can get it from a Scion dealer.

Well Ive heard ppl say that the manual one fits on the auto, but I got mine from redlinegoods.com .

 

i believe scion_jon has it. Not too sure where he got it from? Pointless IMO.

Why try making it look like a manual? If you want a manual look, get a manual. If you dont know how to drive one, learn.

 

I guess cause some people like the look...but don't want to buy an entirely new car just to get that look?

 

I think it's a cool idea. I did it in my old car...looked clean cause the shift boot matched the flow of the interior.

 

haha, all these posts are worthless. You can just buy the scion part but a nicer route is from Redline. Their installation guide is even the swap you're wanting to do, put the boot over the auto. it's not like it really matters, it'll look a lot better and at least people who look at that sort of thing will be left guessing. check it out:

I bought mine from redline as well. Their installation guide was pretty crummy and I ended up making a "Frame" for the bottom of the boot so it held tight.

Anyway, buy it from redline as its really customizable and really nice looking in the end.

 

ive dont care about it being auto/manual I just dont like the way the ugly gray shifter looks

 

dealership is your best bet. you could also maybe put up a want ad in the classifieds.
