Default Automatic Start for manual transmission

I got an automatic start for my tc for the holidays but unsure im going to install it. Not sure about these things so is it worth installing? I live in NY where weather isnt that bad. But worried about my car going through my garage if i start it on my drive way. Any thoughts?

There is now a kit out by Omega that will allow you to remote start a Manual Transmission vehicle and is legal. I have it. It is the new Omega MAX-E Alarm. There is a certain sequence you have to do to allow the car to realize it's in gear, then you tell the car you want to remote start it before you get out. Then you get out and take your keys with you, the car still is running. When you close the door and lock the car, it shuts off. The car then knows it is set to remote start. If a door is opened or the car is unarmed before you remote start it, it will not remote start because it thinks of a possibility that someone tampered with the shifter.

you have to do like a neutral bypass or something to get the car to start without the clutch pedal being all the way in. and if you try to start it in gear, it will probably just make your starter hate you, and then just stall out anyway if it is in gear.

anyway, if you hav ea garage, why do you need a remote start? the garage would keep the car warmer than it would be sitting outside, and if your garage door ain't open, it will fill your garage with you know, toxic gas.

sweet! the silver anniversary edition! my uncle has one of those completely locked up at his house in montana.

didn't even know he had it until we were doing some tiding up in his garage and found it under the car cover, and some boxes. that thing hadn't seen the light of day until he moved to a new house and resumed hibernation.

sorry to get off topic, but i dont know why everyone i know that has a vette around that year keeps it garaged and never drives it. its not like im able to drive it anyways, mine has no back wheels on it and probably needs a new engine from sitting for so long.

Anyways i called circuit city and they wont install so time to take the cash and get something else, maybe a Wii if i can find one. Thanks for the responses
