i dont believe so. tis supposed ot be competative with the z3 as an upgrade or something like that. i kinda spaced out as i figured it would be pricy as hell and i just go tmy d3 so honestly didnt care

its alright. has some cool features, but the speedo is always on. just standard features i guess. nothing to out of the ordinary (far from anything that the scangauge can read)

 

i need to get out my book to figur eout how to get to those special screens. i set mine to the record behind it (naturally since im a DJ) but want to see if the speedo works or if i even hooked it up lol when he said VDD i thought he was a bot for STD's lol

 

how hard will it be for me to install the avacd3 and how long will it usually take?
i never installed any car audio equipment before

530 shipped? wow from where? lol and riboflavin i just ordered it from al-eds. Yeah its not a big deal for me to just stop by and buy a wire harness and kit from a best buy or wtv. also how did u guys connect the wire harness together? Just twist em?

 

Figures. I had a friend of my Dad's who runs his own business install it and I purchased it from him... I wonder if they will still let me have the rebate... but I don't have the box. Didn't think I would need it so I trashed it and it says you have to cut the UPC code and the serial number from it.

 

also jiggaman, of course we cant get another 200 dollar rebate right? since the site says they already took it off. Unless we could. Then that would be super bomb.

i spent more time taking apart the dash to get to the stock HU

 

even shorter than that.... I had wanted the d3 so bad for a while when i was searching thru this topic...finally got one and basically had the DIY memorized...

The longest part was wiring the harness and drilling the brackets for the metra kit, which still only took 20 minutes...then its just plug and play from there..

gps and speed sense wire take about 5 minutes if that
