Yeah they really ____ed me off because they said they couldn't verify my billing address yet that had ALREADY charged my bank account and the money was already out of the account. FedEx says feb. 08 which i find surprising because you have to pay for Saturday delivery and i didn't.

 

man... i was about to order from them also. i have paypal, i'm a verfied member, my bank account is verified, my shipping address is verified, and i have enough funds in my account. so if i go through al-eds and use paypal to pay, i do not see anything they can complain about. or at least... that's what i think. hopefully... they better not.

this is probably the time i wished i live in so cal so i can just come and pick it up.

 

only reason why i still want to go through with al-eds.com is because their feedback is actually really high and other customers rate their experience as "excellent" with them.

and not to mention their really cheap price!

 

well actually i just palced my order at cartronix, and i think the total was only like 11 bucks more, so if you guys dont wanna order from al-eds for some reason theres cartronix. Its dumb how they already charged the card, most professional companys only charge the card after the item is recieved, it was actually like that for all my parts I/H/E/P Struts... so in case there is something wrong and you want a return, they wouldnt have to refund credit.

very nice, i just ordered mines from cartronix too; however, i made the mistake of entering a different shippin and billing address and got double charged... i guess the bank is stupid because there tanking a long time into finding out that the first charge isn't suppose to go through because its been in the pending phase for about a week... n the one i placed after with the right billing and shiping address went through in 3 days.

 

Wait u entered a different shipping and billing adress? As in did you enter your CORECT billing adress, but wanted it shipped to another house or something? why would they double charge you? wuldnt that be cartronix' fault. Also if you entered the wrong billing adress ont he card, the bank or company shuldnt even charge that card right? mann i hate ordering expensive things online, small mistakes can lead to stupid headaches..

 

just wanna let you guys know that i placed my order for a d3 and the ipod adapter for $580 just a couple minutes ago with al-eds.com. i paid by paypal and address is confirmed so hopefully everything goes well. yay i'm excited! thanks for all your help!

so everything went well. no problems at all. right when i submitted my order last night, i got a cofirmation email that i paid. then the next morning, i got a email saying they shipped it already. got my tracking number and all and it should be here monday!

hey guys. now that i'm waiting for my d3 to arrive, i need to know what accessories i need for the install besides the wiring harness and bracket (which i have already.)

i'm not very familiar with the term "crimp" and "tap" so i was wondering if someone could link me to pictures or a website of what i need to buy in terms of crimping and tapping and briefly describe how the process works. if i need something else during the wiring process, please list it down also.

you stick one end of each wire into the butt connector and crimp them down so they stay secure.. You can also solder the connections for an even better install

The T Tap basically can connect 2 wires without having to strip the casing of the wire. You can put both wires in the metal piece of the t tap, and use needle nose pliers to clamp the metal piece down, and then close the top part of the casing, and you are good to go.

Both can be found at radio shack for only a couple dollars each.

T Taps are especially useful for the D3 bypass. Your D3 should have came with a couple t taps to connect your speed sense wire.
