how much is the connection for the ipod?

and is it better that the gps antenna be exposed? rather than being hidden like phanon's

as for GPS.. put it whatever... u can look on d3 and see signal strength if needed

 

can you still use a MP3 plater using the AUX cable and use the GPS at the same time?

hey phanon did you ever get the bluetooth working. my friend installed it. So when i messed with it, it calls but i dont hear a tone. The Mic is not installed yet, is that the probablem?

 

the GPS can be hidden and as long as there isn't too many obstructions in the way, it's absolutely fine.

for the iPod... it's just a cable you connect... i believe it's like $30-40.

 

yea i ended up putting it on the metal, under the glove box next to the door. It works great. I didnt want to deal with that stupid sheet.

 

Is it possible to wire the stock sub on a tC to the avic D3 to be able to control the level of base

 

doubtful......I have tried to just get music out of my stock sub with a power wire,ground and speaker wires jsut to ttry and identify the pins and nothing works with any success.

 

Yes you can use an mp3 but you can't use any cds or dvds. Thats why I went with the kenwood dnx5120.

 

it is possible. just connect the remote wire of the sub to the remote wire on the harness and it should work. did for me.

 

i had my stock sub hooked up to my D3.
i forgot how i did it but try searching, i know it was explained somewhere on here.

 

If you dont mind me asking. which is the remote wire? and will i then be able to control level of bass through D3.

anyone know how do i make my signal better? I have it under my dash around the middle vent opening. for some weird reason every morning my gps strenght is very low around 5AMish but during noon signal strenght is screaming, is it just me who is experiencing this?

 

i have mine in my apillar and i havent had that many problems with it there and i live in the same city as you james. lol
