i was reffering to the price over the sub, but i agree with you

i bought Rockford Fosgate P1's for $49.99

the P2 is $129.99 and DVC so it really depends what you need the sub for

If your looking for a shallow mounting depth you could check out elemental designs SQ-10 sub, its made for a 2 -3 inch mounting depth i believe. I am in the process of installing two of them into the back right cubby hole in my trunk. See how you like em.

I agree, for a sidemount, low depth application like yours, the SQ10 has been pretty handy in adding just that bit of extra bump to your ride

I'd recommend the Dayton 10" HO if you had a full-depth option, but I say SQ10 for the side mount!

ok surprisingly to me the box is actually ten inches deep so that should give me 7-8 inches of mounting depth correct?

check out eD site aka elemental designs. not to mention one of the owners (at least i think he's an owner) has a tC. so he would probably know what would work best.

I don't necessarily disagree... But budget/price might figure too.

I have Memphis and really like them. 10" M1. Pushed with 400W.

I agree with that. JL Audio isn't the be all, end all of car audio (or however that saying goes lol). I hadn't agreed with one until I read that in bold .

Anyway, before we recommend him a sub, shouldn't we know his budget, his goals, space willing to give up, etc? Also, to the OP, I would recommend getting rid of that bazooka tube and just throw a 10" back there in a sealed or ported box. Give us your budget, your goals, and space available and we can give you more accurate recommendations.

and for that price, you may aswell buy solobarics. the point here is cost effective.

You mean a double front baffle? Why would it need one of those? If he built a box and used 3/4" MDF, I'd be willing to almost gurantee it would be fine.

hmmmmmmm..... i already knew this before i saw that link, but ED SQ10? LOL

the ED SQ 10 is the tang band sub.

EDIT: i have to comment about all this JL Audio talk. they make pretty good stuff (can't deny that) but it's not worth the money. i would seriously look elsewhere. you can get better for less. with JL your buying pretty good stuff but you're paying more for the name.

the Dayton Reference HO is i think the best sounding sub you can buy for the money. i have never heard a subwoofer (especially in it's price range) sound anything like it. i will be hanging onto this sub forever. i will never ever part with it.
