I have the jlevistreetwerks.com's Sidemarker Kit in white for the rear license plate. (It works for the license plate lights since they are the same size.)

I've had them in for over a year now with zero problems. If they are illegal, or well. Lexus' have LEDs for the rear license plates lights as well.

What he said. If they were illegal then I doubt the Lexus would have them. The only ones worth a damn are the Lexus ones that cost a small fortune. All of the other ones I have heard of have burnt out fairly quickly.

i'm sorry, i was in a hurry and didn't clarify. Yes only white is legal and it also has to be a stationary light...it can't blink, rotate or any other kind of "moving" lights. Thanx Squall for the clarification

Default LED'S

I got mine from superbrightleds.com, look awesome, I'll take pictures when I get the chance. I got: http://superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html the 5th one down the radially mounted type, I was curious to see how they would look, look and work great. I had red for a while, still have them, only use them occasionally.

I recommend FLANK LEDs which you can get from ebay. They are the brightest LEDs. I dare say it's as bright as the Lexus ones, since flank LEDs are directional.

I've also got the 5-LED bulbs from superbrightleds.com
I use them on both of my cars. The first ones on my car started blinking after a couple of months. I replaced them with exact same thing six months ago and the new ones are still good.
Just stay with white. They kinda have a blue tint to them. COOL WHITE...

I dont recommend it since those LEDs had burnt out on me. I still recommend Flank Luxeon LEDs.
