im lookin to get the license plate led's from superbrightleds...but between the "wled-x6 led" vs "wled-whp led" which one is the better choice? they both give out the same white light i was told. but im hearing a lot of people are having problems with the wled x6 burning out or flickering after a short period.

The solder joints on the inside of the wled x6 tend to break. I have these led's, but I haven't had a problem with them. I think as far as reliability goes you probably want to go with the wled-whp

^^Too bright for my taste. Also a little bit on the expensive side. If you want to see pics of the bulbs you mentioned, go here...

I ordered mine from jlevistreetwerks.com and couldn't be happier. They are so cheap that I ordered a set in Amber for the side markers. (Both spots use the same sized bulb.) Here's a link to some pics...

Tough choice, good luck.

as for leds i am going to use the xenon white, as ive seen it gives off a much nicer look than the PIAA bulbs, but for the leds in the side markers theres a choice to go with the oem amber, or the xenon white led's..any suggestions which would look nicer

ok heres what i finally did, instead of getting them online and taking a risk i went to my local mod shop who are friends of mine (HP Motoring), and who have worked on my past car (acura rsx). i bought the PIAA 7440 chome/orange bulbs for my front turn signals $28.00. and for my licence plate and side marker i got the PIAA high intensity super LED "white color" which they only cost me $18.00 for both...so what you think a nice deal huh

There really isnt a conclusion of which one is better than the other. The LEDs are brighter, and draw less current. I just chose to go with the regular bulbs.

Both will give you a bright white light for your lisc plate. Its a matter of which one you want to go with. I just happen to prefer the bulbs still.

As for PIAA LED's. Ive never used them, but knowing PIAAs obession with putting out quality products, they should last a LONG time and make you very happy whichever way you decide to go. Ive yet to be displeased with a PIAA product
