After buying the flank ones brand new, I discovered upon installation that they experienced the same "flicker" issue. And after putting regular "bulbs" back into the socket without the same flicker issue, I came to the conclusion that it MUST be the contacts and decided to "ghetto workshop" fix it.

What I did was basically "slightly" bend one end of the connectors (via screwdriver) closer together, so in essence the pinch would be tighter to ensuring the + & - contacts were being made. It's actually really simple if you look at the socket (the contacts have a slight indent on both sides which is what was bent)..

And then, YeaH!! good bye u evil flicker!!

 

so what is the exact size needed for the liscense plate light? as i am wanting to use the super bright white since amber is illegal

www.ijdmtoy.com has some badass led lighting equipment. they have a $30 6 piece package for the tc for dome lights, and the front parking lights and then you can just buy separate license plate lights separately for $9 i think.
