well, i did the white to blue swap.. painted my needles white, added some more led's to the guages, tinted them blue w/ 35% blue window tint and made the inner bezel white.

also, made my dome light out of 8 70ma blue superflux led's.. (OMG bright) and the map lights are 2 100ma white superflux's.. very bright.. and i made them strobe.

this was a winter project and just got to posting as i was lazy.

The white part just doesn't look right...inbetween the cluster trim and gauge face.

 

i think the vinyl needs to be on the back. looks weird on the front

its funny you cover your rear plate but forgot to cover your front plate lol

 

Unique We usually apply the film we use "translucent vinyl to the the back of the gauges, that looks kind of cool.



Ps... hope that is not hot glue from a glue gun... in the summer the glue will release!

 

y did u relocate the LED's?

 

it is hot glue, and it'll be ok.. done that before..

they arent relocated, they are in addition.. the tint dims the factory replaced ones. so i make it like the tint isnt there..

it is tinted in the front as i wanted them blue when not lit.

 

i like the blue. but the white doesn't look good. that must have taken alot of time. i don't have patience for that.

 

the guage face wouldnt be blue if it was on the inside.... and the point was to have a blue faced guage as well as light up blue.... i like blue, so during the day, i have blue guages.. lol

How hard was the gauges to do? Did you use a tech tutorial to help you with it?

 

the tech tut was very helpful. but i then expanded on what was done to make it my own.. added a few things here and there..
