Why does your shift boot look so loose? is there a way to tighten or pull the material down so there isn't so much slack?

 

OK I CANNNNNNOT......fit my shift boot....did u use any staples to staple it cuz mines is giving me a very hard time to even fit it correctly....there is nuthin to securely hold it in place

 

yaiiii i chipped molar a stabbed hand and like 4 hours later i finally did it.....well kindda...but my shift boot conversion is at the best possible given that all i had to help me was a hanger and a screw driver....mind u this is an after market boot so dats why it was so difficult.....i somehow took a hanger from work using my hands and teeth i molded a piece to hold da boot in place and after a few tries, chippin my molar and stabbin myself wit the hanger i finally did it....lol...will post pics lata......wooohoooo

 

I was thinking the same thing about someone trying to steal your car. WTF?? Where’s the clutch?? Better yet, put in a dummy clutch that kills the engine until a hidden button is pressed. Now THAT is an anti-theft device.

Honestly, the red stitches don’t look so great with the extra slack, gives it a crooked look. Any chance you could push the bulges down to straighten it out? Or maybe you could trim off some of the excess at the bottom to give it a tighter fit?

i like it loose....guess is personla preference.....it was hard enuff gettin the thing on without an actual base on the boot....wether is loos or tight im happy i got it on...lol.....
