Default which brand??

well ive been searching through maybe companies websites looking at the different speakers they have to offer and i just wanted to know who u guys thnik are best. ive never heard anyone complain about pioneer or alpine, but how are other companies like kicker, phoenix gold, etc.

just let me know your guys opinions and i wouldn't be looking to spend more than 650-750$ on front speakers, sub, amp for sub, and amp for speakers. thanks

i went with CDT components in the front and rear with a centerstage kit in the front pillars, and a cdt es-sq100 sub in the back. a 4ch phoenix gold xenon's powering my components and a mono pg xenon's powering my sub. i love the way it sounds. one of the best things u can do for any system is to do some sound deadening if u hadn't already planned on doing it. it's something u can easily do urself, not really expensive, and it worth every cent.

addheck out elemental designs for some quality stuff at good prices-especially for their sound deadening

Go to Crutchfield.com and read some of their reviews on speakers. With your order, they will give you a lot of goodies! (Master sheets to take apart your tC, speakers brackets, wiring harnesses [if needed], etc.) Plus, you get free shipping if you spend enough. That's where I got my HU, Polk Components, Amp, and Powered Sub for for about the price range you listed.

Many people will tell you to ditch the rear speakers and just replace the fronts. I got a good deal on my speakers, so I replaced the fronts and the rears. Try and find some components for the front. Its not hard modifing the stock bracket to hold a new tweeter. Also, if can afford to deaden your car, do it. Deadening makes everything sound richer and clearer.

The best thing to do is go to a Audio Shop (NOT Circuit City or Best Buy) and listen to the different speakers. We all hear differently so what might sound good to me, may sound like crap to you.
