Can you all please...
Just some advice, Sand anything you are going to connect electronics to. Oxidation is the enemy of any electrical connection. Then there is anything else that gets on the joint. So the rule of thumb is that if air can touch it, clean it before connecting to it.
I went to BB once to get some 6x9's installed on my old car, and it was terrible. First the guy insisted they were 5 1/2 inch speakers. He kept on insisting so I just bought the 5's and waited the next day for him to realize his mistake. Sure enough next day he realizes, and I got some fosgates in exchange for his mess up. The install sucked though, I had wires hanging down in my trunk and everything.

Let me tell you that you can't judge all BB's, or CC's off a single store, EVERY store is different when it comes to the install bay. I work for BB as a First Class installer, and we are the #4 bay in the country last month for revenue. The other stores around me are... challenged when it comes to installs. We tend to fix A LOT of stuff from those other stores. Doinf about 20-30 cars a day, stuff does break, its just bound to happen, but the other stores do it exsesivly.
I suggest you go to the BB or CC near you, and just talk to the installers. You will know right off the bat if they are capable of doing a good install or not by just the way they talk to you. If they can answer all your questions, you shouldn't have a problem. Also see if they have their MECP certificates displayed or not, it doesn't mean much, but it does show that they care about their job.
It sounds like you did your homework, and I would suggest you try to do the install yourself, the TC is VERY easy to take apart, you don't need any special tools, and it's basicly built like legos, everything snaps together.
