my next mod is my headunit to start with my system.
and i decided on the alpine cda 9886. i was just wondering if anyone has this hu and are there any real cons besides it keeping the ipod on at ALL times.
i have a 500 dllar best buy gift card so im obviously buying from best buy but how hard would it be to get the dash kit and wiring harness for my tC. do you think i should just let best buy install it since they have the harness and all the other stuff or can i buy it from them

 

I bought the 9856 two years ago (same thing you have but was top of the line 2 years ago) and I price shopped online and got best buy to match the price of crutchfield.com becuase they have a price match guarantee with authorized retailers. I also ended up getting a free wire harness and dash kit out of it becuase they had a special going on.

Its easy to install yourself, but do whatever you want.

 

ok sweet do you think the deal was at just that best buy ( the price match guarantee) or all of them.

well its was the best single din model wit the lcd screen and ipod hook up, i thougt it was the 9856 but whatever it was the best when i got it.

 

no the best single din has always been the F1 status single din, followed by the dva 9965 (two years ago) i think the 9965 is still out but they discontinued their f1 line a couple of months back
