Default center vents

Hey guys, my friend and I just finished repairing his 2006 Scion TC's air conditioning and noticed his center vents don't blow as hard as the side vents. Is this normal? We can close one of the center vents and then it blows about as hard as the side vents but when both are open the center blows about half as hard as the side vents do on max setting.

my 2008 is sort of the same. I think it is because some of it is leaking into the windshield defrost ducts somehow. pretty much since new. I can tell because down here in the deep south the humidity will cause condensation on the lower part of the window even if the setting is not on defrost.

I have just learned to live with it. Not gonna tear the dash apart to find the issue.

jkois, thanks for the feedback about your vents. If anyone else could let me know how their center vents blow on max compared to the side that would be helpful.
