for me the only time the light for the clock comes on is if I turn my lights off? I dont know if its just mine but when im driveing at night to see the clock i have to turn the lights off is there a button you have to push to turn the clock on or what... may seem like a stupid question but what can i say... thanks.

 

My clock light comes on every time i have the lights on. I don't know what to tell you. I'd get that looked at. Pretty wierd.

 

yea... sounds weird to me too.. my only guess would be something with the dimmer switch/circuit

 

the weird thing is the car is brand new with 1500 miles on it still have the temp plates and dont work i just dont understand.

 

Is it an 07? If so, does it have separate passenger airbag on/off lights? That almost sounds like an 07 with an 05/06 HVAC board in it. But I am pretty sure other things would not be working properly either. But some of the logic is bass ackwards between the two, making them not work together

 

yes it is an 07 and everything on the lower half doesnt light up besides the stero... so maybe i shld take it back to the dealer. yes it does have the pass airbag light, but that does light up weird?

 

If it is an 07 HVAC, it will have one light that says Passenger Airbag, one that says ON and one that says OFF. If for some reason it got the wrong module, it would just say Passenger with a picture of a person wearing a seatbelt.

It would be strange for them to have gotten it wrong, but the symptoms sound right. It will light up at the opposite times you want it to. And it would have done it since you bought it.. but it sounds like that is the case.

 

also my umm emergency flasher lights up to and but no ac controls work, work as in light up? and it has the pass airbag and the person with the seatbelt and both light up and it hasnt worked since i got it.

 

 

To clarify, do you just have the person with the seatbelt and the word Passenger on it, or does it also have an airbag On/Off light ? If you truly have an 07 and you just have the person and the word passenger, then it was built with the wrong HVAC module.

You drove it all this time with no ac or heat controls? Use that warranty!

 

im in school but yeah dude all the controls work. just dont light up? and umm i will post a picture of it when i get home dude.

 

no dude it has the passanger airbag with the on/off AND the seabelt ____...

and only lights up when lights are off.

 

My guess is a failed dimmer circuit. In any case, the dealer should fix it with a new board.
