Default Cupholder - Purplish to Blue

Ok, so, I've seen some complaints on this but not really a good way to fix it... oh, and also, hello everyone, glad to be a part of the community... anyway, as I get ready to put rear, trunk, engine compartment, underbody, etc. neons and replace most of the interior lighting with blue (minus some whites/reds for practicality's sake) I'm getting really fed up with the purplish glow that the BLUE lights in the cupholders give off. Rather than mention it to my dealer, I was wondering what some of you've done to fix it... I was wondering also if either of these ideas would work:

1. Replace the light and/or move it further into the cupholder

2. Drill/Add 2 more lights per cupholder (total of 4 added)

Thanks for your help.

That's what I think I'm going to do first... I get the feeling the Scion LED is just really weak... maybe? I dunno, but I'll got to RadioShack this weekend to get a better one (unless I ordered one from superbrightleds... I don't remember what's coming in the mail... heh...)

It's definitely a purple one.

Easiest/quickest thing...a little spendier than ordering online.

Go to Radio Shack. Pick up 2 Blue T1(I believe is the size...could always pull out the stock ones and take 'em in) and a resistor(check the stock one again, you can see the rings on the resistor...don't remember what size it was now.)

Cut the stock ones off the wire. Wire in resistor + LED. Insert in hole.

I was thinking of it this weekend, but I think we have an RSX taking over our shop
