Does the operating manual say that you have to pull the parking break three times before you can watch a DVD? On some of the Dual HU they have a weird thing like that, so you might have to do a togle switch to simulate the ebrake (idea from Evil Dave).

since i see some conflict here.. for the record

EMERGENCY BRAKE WIRE IS ALWAYS NEGATIVE (GOUND)

FOOT BRAKE WIRE IS ALWAYS POSITIVE

there...

thanks. lol any other helpful advice? how is it supposed to be hoocked up to the e-brake switch?

I would check with DUAL to see what is the best to do in your situation.
My DVD player just needed to be grounded and that was that. I never had to use a toggle switch or ebrake switch.
