Well... as I am always messing around with the color scheme on my dash, I thought I would post the latest layout of my dash. Finished messing around with it a couple of days ago again so I thought l would post up some pics. I think I am leaving it this way (At least for a while ) besides maybe a couple of other mods. But the colors scheme I am happy with for now. Taken in a parially lit garage, so the colors may not stand out as well in the pics. The LCD's are also pretty well matched in person.. HVAC seems brighter in pics....

exact scheme im going for except the needles are blue then change to red.....nice work!!

 

Yep, to do that, some of the needle backlighting leds (added to the stock board to do this) are changed to blue and the needles left clear. So as the needle passes over the different leds it changes color.

i was going to say the same tthing until i realized it was unlikely for him to have a CEL, low battery, low oil, seat unbuckled, and e-brak pulled.

 

can you time the colorchange well? say for the tach to start to become red as it reaches redline?

 

yeah im doing mine at 3,000 rpms and 45 mph

 

i may have to pull my cluster apart and see what i can do. I would be extatic if i could gradualy change the color as it aproached redline.

sweet. ive had a hard time deciding on what color to go with on my tc. its black so i have a whole slew of choices. i was going to go with red, but red neons are illegal. then i was going to go with green but green on black is somewhat of a cliche. then i decided on yellow. so im going black and yellow... top to bottom. leds, seat covers(or new seats), pedals, dash accents, headlights, neons, really anything i can make yellow without repainting the car. haha. all i need is some serious cash.
