This is possibly the most helpful topic I've ever seen on a forum. Glad you finally got everything sorted out man. Also so glad I came across it too actually because if not I would've been making an identical thread later on today about how to get through the firewall. What's the best way to 'connect' to the battery? Are the ring things necessary or could i just solder to the clamps?

dont solder to the clamp.

but it all depends on how much you are going to be connecting to the battery. if your not connecting much, and its small gauge wires, just get a wire termination ring, and connected it to the battery terminal. but if you want a cleaner install, and you are installing more/larger wires, it would be wise to get a brand new battery terminal that can hold more wires in a neat and organized way.

I used a terminal connector, attached it to the battery terminal clamp, but i electrical taped everything, and i just have two wires, one for pos and one for neg, and the run into the firewall, then i have that black tubing covering them. But i think that getting a new terminal, from Oznium, is coming very soon in the future.

for the record... you dont have to attach the ground to the neg. terminal of the battery. you can ground to any part of the car where the wire would attach to metal. i actually recommend this so that you can keep your ground wire short in distance.

and i asumme the "black tubing" your talking about is wire loom (because i doubt you used heat shrink)? which is good to make it look like a clean install

That is a good idea, i grounded my cathodes to the bolt to my kick panel, i think i might just ground everything else there. And if wire loom is already in our car, then yeah, thats what im using.

you dont have to use the same ground. its actually safer to use new grounds so you have more contact with the body's metal

it's too bad you didn't find my thread before you made this one... I had pics of the gromets and everything. I would post up the link, but you already have it figured out now.

Anyways, good job on the lights man.
