Default floor sub box design

I want to remove the spare tire and mount a sub box down there for a 10" alpine type-x. I want the sub to fit flush with the floor basically. Does anyone have a blueprint of a box (.5-1 cu. ft sealed if im allowed to be picky ) that will fit down there or am I gonna have to try and fab one up myself?

well i hope you have optional carpets back there because that would be your best bet as an outline and just make a square measurement.

somebody did it already here. somewhere in the post. if not you could always order it from quarter wave design.

I found some ppl that can do this for me, but let me know when you get yours done.

8.6" is the top mount mounting depth for the type-x.

hmmm that looks really nice... if I were to use that, i would need to come up with another place to put the amps. I was going to mount them to the sides of the hatch. I carry around big bins filled with detailing supplies. i put down the seats and lay them in the back. either a floor mount or your side mounted box would be awesome. my problem.. i was going to do the floor mount and then bolt the amps to the sides, now that one of the sides is taken up, where can i put the amps and not have them interfere with the main hatch area where i put my supplies?

I did a jl w3 vs in mine... think I made the box with the wood thickness 10" tall and then just built a false floor to replace the whole top... then I cut the edges and added hinges so I can still use my cubby holders on the sides... not sure if it was 10 but its the same height from the top of the holder down to the middle of the tire well... One thing you might wanna think of... fiberglass bottom with a box on the side and top would give you just a bit of extra room.
