Default Foglight Switch Question

I recently purchased and installed a set of Apt.auto foglights. I love the look and ease of installation. The only thing I don't like is the green lighting of the switch. Has anyone changed the color of the switch?

I have wondered this myself, as I also don't like the green foglight switch color.

Take it apart, find out what kind of bulb it uses, swap bulb/LED with another color.

I think someone on here tired to do it but messed the whole switch up, but he probably just didn't know what he was doing.

I've looked at taking it apart a couple times, but the way it looks I'm afraid if I do get it apart it won't work when I put it back together. Things like that usually don't slow me down any, but for some reason I feel different towards this switch. lol

yes I was able to do it. Mine is now blue. you take off the plastic square with he light icon on it by either taking a hobby knife and pry it off or removing the light bulb and pushing on it from the back side. Once that is out you have to sand off the green paint. IMPORTANT You have to be very careful not to go past the green paint and not sand into the black or white paint or it will leave scratches and light will pass through. Glue the plastic icon piece back in. Then solder in a led with a resistor to the contacts where the bulb sat.
hope this makes since.

Yeah sounds good. Just a couple questions. Did you have to take the switch apart or just take plastic square off? If you had to take the switch apart, is that done by just pushing in the 2 tabs and it comes apart? Thanks for the info.

no need to take the switch apart, just remove the square light icon.
