Default Ground Loop Isolator Question

I am trying to run both my Sirius and my iPod through the center console inputs. I am powering up both through the console's power supply (using a Y-splitter). I also have both hooked up to the AUX port through a Y-splitter. I was getting some serious interference, so I hooked up a Ground Loop Isolator- first immediately off of the AUX port, then wired on the Sirius side of the splitter (which has the most noticeable amount of interference). Neither scenario works very well. In a case like this, would it be beneficial to hook up 2 Ground Loop Isolators- one for each device? Or is there another solution?

I really don't want to have to mess with any rewiring....I would like to fix this problem as simply as possible. If its the only way though, how would I go about wiring in a new ground?

what kind of interferience are you getting? if your getting static and such, or no signal through your sirius, its probly a case of the power wire being too close to the antenna wire, or the AUX cable. do you get the same interferience if you just plug in one device? I would immagine if you had a ground loop, using one isolator would be sufficent. but if your realy unsure, just go to radio shack and pick up another one, if it doesnt solve your problem, return it.

i ran into similar problems with other cars. They share different grounds between the radio and the aux change. What you need to do is move the ground from the AUX jack to the ground on the radio.

Yeah I started running into this problem once I started using this: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/autopilot

which basically charges and plays my Ipod at the same time, and untilizes the ipod jack instead of the headphones output. The sound is much better, but now I am running into alternator whine again real bad. I am guessing HomelessGuy is right- that the AUX imports are just too close to the power plugs for both units.
