Has anyone routed there racing harnesses to the rear seatbelt buckles or bolts? does anyone know the degree's this run is? i know u dont wanna go anymore than 45 degrees with the rear part of the racing harness. I am just trying to get the best safety outta this, trying to learn, please dont butcher my post. also if anyone has links to companies that make the harness bars either specifically for the TC or not please post the link. Serious comments only, no typical forum BS

Here's the deal...

It's really best to run a roll bar if you are thinking about harnesses, as your back is really important and if you roll with harnesses on, you WANT that protection above you, or else you risk crushing your back in 5 points.

Autopower Industries makes a reasonably priced bolt in roll bar for our car, with removeable cross and harness bar, which is the best of both worlds... allows you to run with out without and doesn't risk safety at all. a few have taken their rear seats out and run with the harnesses locked into the rear bolts, but they all still run roll bars...

Most liscenced events aren't too cool with harnesses on cars without roll bars as well...

I had mine mouted to the back seat bolts, I had them crossed and then one to each bolt on the back seats. Everything was fine, I even had my shop take a look and they said it was done right and everything was how it should be.......

heres the real deal rules for 2005 and 2006 say that harness bolts no longer can mount to seat belt bolts they have to mount to a roll cage with mounting holes in the back support bar ! harnesses have a two year life every two years our so they update and regulations change depending on what comes out or what is developed!

hope that helps!
