Where abouts are the holes being drilled! I cant lower mine!

The holes are going to be drilled on the stock brackets in between the 2 sets of holes that are already there. If you connect the avn5435 to the back holes, there is not enough room for it to fit. If you connect it to the front holes, the cover can't close, so I drilled holes a little bit behind the front holes, but of course I measured and everything (I wanted to be precise). I'll take a picture if you still dont understand.

All good, Ive been wondering this for like 5 months now! lol Couple days wont hurt!
See I had one of my boys at c city do it for me, so I never saw all the mount stuff!
Truthfully I havent even tried taking it out since then! Just thought id never be able to close.

Have you been able to re-route ground to be able to watch dvd while e-brake not on?

yea of course. Its not wired to the e-brake. Simply run the wire from the unit that is supposed to go to the ebrake and run it to a switch instead, or if you'd prefer not to have a switch, you can just ground the wire so it always will work. I like to switch in case I get pulled over

Cool idea about cutting the bottom though, just needs to be done much better!! But i mean if you don't mind jagged edges lol then its all good. And its understandable since the AVIC-N1 and N2 are great products.

I wanted to ask those with these products what they've thought of them so far?

all u need to do is to take a file and some sandpaper to that and it would look alot abetter.

Yup, just make sure it's squared up.
