Headunit/Receiver Turning Off Unexpectedly, Battery/Alt???
Hi guys! I now have another problem with my Scion tC. The car is really turning to crap now after having it since winter of 04/05 (sorry for the negative news guys). I just replaced all 4 tires with Yokohoma since the stock tires can't last past 35,000 miles. Who knows why. Anyways, for my new problem...
The past couple of weeks my Pioneer headunit 80MP has been messing up. I am running a pretty intense system with 2 separate amps, sub, and tweeters, with upgraded speakers everywhere. For some reason, in the morning (just realized this pattern today) the headunit won't turn on. After about 10-15 minutes of driving and/or of me hitting the eject button on/off, the headunit and system will work fine. When I get off of work, the system works fine too. It seems like problems only occur when I am not driving prior to starting the car.
At first I thought I would need a new headunit or that wires were loose somewhere. Now I am thinking it is a battery/alternator problem. What do you guys think and has anyone needed to replace their battery after only 35,000 miles?
Thanks!

Our battery has that indicator on the top of it. Where its green and has a red dot or something. Read the sticker on the battery, it'll tell you. I dont know how to check anything else off the top of my head. Do some googling I suppose?
are you on the original battery? reason I ask is that the stock battery wont power the system you have when your car isn't started.
Stock tires are design to go past 15-30K. You're luck that you got 35K. Under normal rotation right?
Depending on condition in your area, the battery normally last 3-4 years under normal use. I had to replace my batter in the corolla and has less than 30K because of my system.
I wouldn't call our cars crap since you have a system that's draining the battery faster than leaving the lights on.
