headunit trouble
ok i just put in a valor its 702w
its really a nice headunit, but the sub output confuses the ___ outta me.
one rca output, so i buy a rca y splitter and when i try it
it barely even vibrates at full volume and gain, then take the splitter off and only one sub works
im running two kicker comp 12" on a 350.2 kicker amp
any help to this pointless retarded problem is appreciated

Seems very strange, simply using a splitter shouldn't cause much (if any) voltage drop. Without the splitter & with just 1 sub, was there enough output that you needed to lower the amp's gain? Is the amp running in stereo mode, one channel to each sub? If so, you might try wiring the subs in series and bridging the amp, as that should enable both channels to use the single input and provide the same power as it puts out in stereo mode.

wont wiring it in series bring my ohms to 8?
which would be completely crappy?
i had it at 1 ohm and fried the amp, just got it back
My suggestion was a troubleshooting exercise, based on you saying only 1 sub was working, and presumed the subs were in stereo on the stereo amp. Yes, series of 2x 4-Ohm would be 8-Ohm, and the amp would put out the same total wattage at 8-Ohm bridged as it does at 4-Ohm stereo. So no, not "completely crappy" when compared to stereo 4-Ohm.
If you already had it bridged, then try swapping the subs, to ensure one of them isn't causing the issue. You could also try another Y-adapter to see if that resolves it.
Did you resolve the issue over the weekend, and if so, what caused it?
Your description indicates there's likely still an issue with the amp, that not everything was fixed when you got it repaired. The low-pass filter should be enabled when running a sub, turning it off for a full range output means the subs are attempting to produce output in the range they weren't designed for. Whether the filter is engaged or not shouldn't cause one of the subs to stop working, especially when running bridged (as you indicated), which leads me to believe there's an issue with the filter circuits within the amp. I'd suggest discussing the amp's behavior with the place that repaired it, as they should resolve it for you.
