I have a car audio at home (Pioneer-SDVP7) but i bought as is condition.
HOw can i test at home (without a car battery) if it powers up or not?

what is it, an amp or a head unit?

whatever it is i think you'll need a 12 volt battery to see if it powers up. how else would you test it.

i googled it. it's a dvd player? you need a 12 volt source to see if it powers on. you'll need to hook up both the positive and turn on lead to a 12volt source and the ground to a 12 volt source as well.

 

head unit

 

you know thats not really a head unit right? it's a dvd player meant to be run with a head unit.

 

yea... i got a pioneer screen..but a JVC headunit......so i don;t think this dvd player will work at all

a computer power supply puts out +12V...google it for the current and other specs.

 

i will just pop my hood and test there.....I was just lazy of the cold weather
