Help with interior part?
I'm not sure how to name this thread, so I'll just explain it first. I've also posted this story in another thread, but it's another issue so I thought a new thread is in order.
A while back, someone broke into my car and stole my Pioneer avic-n3 nav. I guess in the haste of trying to take the headunit, he just pried the entire unit out which includes the part it was mounted on. At the moment, there is nothing there but a square hole. I'm in the process of ordering a new nav, Pioneer avic-z3, but I'm not sure if I need anything other than the unit and the mounting kit for the install. The way the burglar just ripped everything out, I'm not sure if I need to get anything fixed before installing the z3 or if I can just go ahead with it. I'm also not sure what the inside looked like originally since I bought my tC used and it came with the avic-n3. So I can't really tell if anything oem is broken in there. I know if I take it to the dealer, it'll end up taking several hours and they'll find something to bill me with, the dealer here sucks...
Also, when I bought my tC used, the radio door cover was taken off for the avic-n3 that came with it. Now that I'm getting a avic-n3, does anyone know where I can get a radio door cover?
I think, at most, I need a new radio mounting...housing...??? does that even exist?
and a radio door cover?
Can someone shed some light on this situation? I just want everything go as smoothly as possible once the new nav comes in.
