My car was fine this morning. When i left from "work", i tryed unlocking my car, it wont work. my lock/unlock on my keys were not working. this was weird. i took it to a local dealer, and after 7 hours they told me that my alarm that is not even working caused it to malfunction. Important to mention that i had the alarm installed 2-3 months ago, but never worked becasuse of the antenna. so the dealer says its the alarm thats causing it. what do you think? they tried to reprogram new keys, but it did not work. thanks

 

You had an aftermarket alarm installed? It's not working? It's presence is causing your keyless entry to malfunction? Seems like the place to start would be to remove the non-functioning alarm. Maybe I'm too simplistic.

 

me key randomly quits working sometimes....completely (the LED didnt lite up when i push buttons). so i have a bad connection in the remote somewhere, do your LEDs lite up?.

 

yes... the antenna never worked, but that was installed 2-3 months ago. why would my keyless entry just stop working all of a suddene
