Ok guys gutted my tC and installed my subs and put everything back in. Got the amp drawin power from the battery, Pulled up a tC wiring diagram to find what wires were + an - on the rear speakers and hooked my rca converter to them according to its wiring diagram. I have no power from my amp to the subs and I'm lost. My amp should have a blue light when its on and nothing. The stock system works fine but the amp gives no signal to the subs. I know it has power because we checked it with this tool my dad has and it DOES have power. I'm not sure what to do.

Well dad and me were talkin and I remembered that on my Grand Am when I had it I had to run a wire from a fuse on the driver side fuse panel on the inside to the remote hook-up on the amp (I think it was the remote hook-up). The fuse we ran it to had power when I put the key in the ACC position. When I got my HU I didn't need that anymore since the HU gave me pre-amp outputs. Dad said all he needs to do is jump a wire from the Battery (Power) hook-up on the amp to the remote hook-up and it should work. He used a volt meter to see if the amp had power and it did, but it didn't have a signal to turn it on coz the blue light was still off on it. Thanx for the help guys that makes me that much more sure that I need to do that. BTW fuses are fine we did that lol thanx tho. I'll let you guys know more when I try it out tomorro after class.

Sounds like you got it figured out. Power line to the battery, remote wire to something that is only on with the key on. If you run the remote wire to the battery, the amp will always be on, which will drain your battery. I think that's what you were getting at, but I'm tired and need to go to bed.

Ok I got ya ben. I had to do the same with my Grand Am untill I got a diff HU for it. Well guess I'll have to run another wire then. Which means guttin the back again lucky me lol. Anyone have and suggestions on where to run it? Like a fuse panel on the driver side if there is one?

If you are using an aftermarket head unit there should be a blue wire coming out the back - this is your remote wire. If you are using the stock unit one of the empty wire spots is where the remote wire would be if you had the bazooka sub. You can always use the accessory on for the radio, but you would have to get a test light to figure out which one is which, I do not remember the wire color, but can tell you it is either yellow or red.

Thanks for the help guys. We figured it out today. I ran a wire from the ACC fuse in the fuse panel under the driverside dash. It works fine. Now all I have to do tomorro is tuck the wire away nice and neat, mount my amp to the side of the box and tuck all the other wires away and it'll look great.

Well I forgot to take pics of actually DOING the install because we were on a tight schedule to get it done. But, I will get pics of it tonight after I get home from work most likely. Looks good to me and it sounds like it hits at least 10x as hard as it did in my other car. I think its where I have the subs facing up and where the bass is reflecting off the window into the car it makes it ALOT louder lol. The gain on the amp is at 50% and I'm only puttin the volume on the stock HU to 10 and its more than I can take lol. I had to turn the Bass to 0 on the stock HU lol. Can't wait to see how it hits at car shows. After I get my lambo doors I want to trade these Type-E's for Type-S's and switch out the 350-watt amp for a 500-watt amp so I'll be at the max wattage for my class. 3-1 hatcback/custom 0-500 watts. I'll be hittin at least 150+dB's lol. Thanx for the help once again.
