Default Help with some interior lighting

Hello,

I've been wanting to redo the interior lighting in my tC, except I have no electrical knowledge whatsoever. I was thinking about ordering the parts from Oznium and having my installer do everything; just wanted to ask those that are more electrically-capable what parts I'd need.

Here's the breakdown:
- One straight "Chrome LED Module" (http://www.oznium.com/led-modules) in each footwell and under the front seats (total of 4)
- Two 5mm LEDs (http://www.oznium.com/led) in the cupholder.
All of these linked to a rocker-style switch (http://www.oznium.com/gsw-45-led)

My question is, besides these parts, what else do I need to get?

Instead of the 5mm LEDs for the cupholders go withthe 4pin LEds....way brighter and do 4 of them instead of 2......it will look a lot better.......for the under dash the flexable strips are very bright depending on color......brighter than the chrome LEds.

I prefer 1 12" cathode in each footwell, and 2 cathodes under each seat. I do 2 5MM LED's for each cupholder, and 3 each side panel pocket. 4 or 5 for each speaker, 1 for each tweeter, and 1 for each arivent! That's a good setup righgt there, and relatively cheap! Also, 2 4" cathodes on each side of the rear panels

I forgot about the cathodes.......they are even better for under dash.......orange is not a good one though.......it is not orange but all the other colors are bright.

I have 2 Flexable strips under dash
4 4pins in the cup holders
2 4pins in each door pocket
2 4 pins in each rear seat cubby
2 4 pins in each rear cupholder
the 16 LEd inthe front dome light
the 25 LED inthe rear dome light......

Car glows like a great big orange pumpkin at night.....LOL

I was originally gonna go with the cold cathodes for the footwells and for under the seats, but I thought the chrome LEDs might be a good alternative since it'll be okay if other people happen to kick it. Only reason I'm using 2-5mm LEDs for the cupholder is because I don't want it to be too bright, just a little ambient glow will be enough.

I guess back to my original question, will I be needing other parts (fuses, resistors, etc.)?

The LED strips are fine without resistors, but for the 5mm LEDs, you'll either need to be the "12V prewired" version or add in your own resistors. Unless you comfortable with electronics, just buy the prewired ones and you can rest assured they will work fine.

Well someone broke into my car last night, stole my Pioneer AVIC-N3. Fixed my window together. So now I gotta gather up some funds and get the navigation replaced, gonna get the lights done at the same time I guess.

Just use butt splices...and add them to a large gauge wire...and then connect the positive end to a switch, and then take a positive from the battery to the switch as well....

And Wala, there ya go!
