Default Hey is it possible to fit 6x9 speakers in the back?

I know the back ones are like 6 inches( I looked on that scion tc faq site)
Would it be too much of a mess to fit 6x9 back there cause my cousin has 2 350watt pioneer speakers and i'd love to put those on. Has anyone put 6x9's back there and if so, do you have pics of how it fits or watever?

You will probably have to cut into the material that is holding the 6" speaker to hold a 6x9" speaker, don't know if anyone has done it.

You could easily cut that little sheet of metal back there. wouldn't be too hard to do either...just a dremel or roto-zip...hell, even a wire cutter would probably work on that piece

Good choice man, because honestly, if you have to ask it's
probably too much for you to handle on your own.

Also, don't get hung up on how much "wattage" a speaker
is rated at, use your ears to choose speakers, not specs on
a page. I generally find myself picking speakers I otherwise
would have overlooked if I only read the specs and the name
brand when I trust my ears.

You can put 6.5"s in the rear, no cutting of the steel required. However, with the front and rear, you will need to cut out a template from3/4" MDF to get the spacing right because the old speakers are housed funny. There is a thread that someone did that actually has a PDF template for what you need.

Probably, but why would you want to? I'd much rather have a set of 6.5" components... but then I don't run rear fill anyway.

I'd recommend saving the money from the rear speakers and getting better front speakers.....

Oh yeah...btw...I agree with all these guys...either no rear fill or just grab some 6.5"ers
