Default HVAC help please

So of course I ruined my HVAC while trying to do an LED swap. so I tried buying new HVACs and failed twice now. Both of the new ones, when plugged in, show the clock working, but as soon as i turn my key, it goes off and i cant control ANYTHING. Anyone know why this happens? is it because the new HVACs are different...by this i mean mine does not have the "air bag on/off" and the new one did. The other new one didnt have the alarm button. Let me know if this is why. It sucks that I bought 2 new ones that were both different from mine.

You want a 05-06 HVAC specifically. 05-06's dont have the air bag indicator.

If you need a 05-06 HVAC I have one.

Try car-part.com and search for heater/ac control. You can usually get it for under $100, and most yards include the waterfall bezel, so you can re-sell that part and make some dough back.

If you are nervous about removing the screen on the new one and breaking it, I would be happy to help you find a replacement, have it sent to me first, do the led swap for $50, then ship the whole thing to you. Just another option.

hey, thanks a lot man. Two people just messaged me on here and said they have one, and i just asked if they are the right ones, (security light and no airbag indicator) If all goes well, I will just put the new one in for now, until i get some money, then I'd love to have you to an LED swap for me. are you an electrical engineer btw?

Residential/Commercial Electrician way back, then Bachelors in Electronics Engineering Tech, Masters in Engineering Tech with emphasis in Electronics. Eventually have morphed into Project Management, but still try to do some design and such on the side. Still debating whether to stay on he project management side or go back into 100% engineering. But may have a huge opportunity to manage a whole engineering team and business segment in the near future, so who knows

If you decide to have me do some work, just look on www.doctorisotope.com under the section for led swaps and contact me at the email adress on the top of that page and I can help you out.
