Default HVAC LCD

I accidently broke my LCD on the HVAC when I was doing the resistor mod, I actually dont know when I did it, I was putting it back together and flipped it over and it had cracked.

Does anyone have a LCD I can buy off of them, or know where I can get one? Thanks

I hear ya. I broke mine too, but I found a replacement on ebay. Check on ebay on and off. Junk yark people often list the HVAC up there. The key word you want to search for is "tc console" or "tc control". Make sure you search in ebay motor. I just checked, and unfortunately, there is none right now. But they will have it again, I am very sure. I purchased mine for like $50 including shiping. So, just check. Good Luck, I hate witnessing an imperfection among my dash.

Car-part.com. I have never paid more than $100, and that many times includes the entire center console (stereo door and all).

I can see many on there right now (Heater/AC control) for $50 and up. Just make sure to ask them to verify it is in good shape.

I have a lot of people that break them and ask me to order a new one and mod it for them so they dont have to risk removing it again. So I have used that site a good amount

I just responded to your pm as well. I just noticed you had an 07. That makes it trickier. The 05 and 06 board will not work in an 07. Car-part.com does not list 07's and it may be tough to find one in salvage. I can keep looking for you as well. With the other issues you were having and having to buy a whole unit for the LCD, it would probably be best to just have the new unit modded. I will pm you info if I can find one and we can work something out if you like. Hopefully we can find an 07 wrecked to get one from. The unit will be upwards of $500 new.

hmm.. well... i'm thinking the LCD is interchangeable within both units... we only need the lcd after all... take it from the '05-'06.. and solder it into the '07?

The LCD should be, but he is also having other issues since the mod. So the simplest idea would be if he could get the whole board and mod it. I would have a hard time troubleshooting his because I dont have an 07 to plug it into to see what is going on.

But, the LCD should work between the two.. I would hope it would anyway Before he actually goes out to buy one, I may have one that will work enough to test. It is a cracked one of of a board someone sent me to repair, but it may at least work well enough to see if the two are interchangeable. If I can get it to at least light up I could mail it out so you can test with it luke.

Actually, I just got the rest of the board fixed. I worked with an electronics guy in town and we managed to get everything else fixed and my only problem is with the LCD.

And since the LCD should work between the two, i'm safe buying a 05 or 06 board and just moving the screen right?
