Default I Need Amp Recommendation

My amp is driving me nuts because I didn't understand the whole process very well when I bought it and i'm getting tons of engine noise (which I can't get rid of and nobody seems to know how to fix) and its not that good sound quality anyway. So.....

Can someone recommend a 4-channel amp that is not horribly expensive yet quality please?
As many recommendation as you guys have would be appreciated!

engine noise - it gets louder as I accelerate and softer as the rpms come back down. I've tried everything and even the experts who looked at it say that its the amp - it even whines when the radio is off even though the amp is turning off!

I honestly dont know...i'm really frustrated with it. When the car is on but the radio/amp is off, there should be no whine. The professionals told me that it is the crappy amp that i'm using, so that's why i'm here, for recommendations for a new amp!

Alpine MRV-F545. Good watts to dollar ratio, small amp draw, small amp size with good internal x-overs, fans, etc. You can also bridge the 3/4 channels to run a sub, and get the whole system going off of a single amp.

ok so your pushing components with the amp

this is what you got
POLK AUDIO DB6500
RMS Power Range 10-100watts
Frequency Response 40-23KHz
Peak Power Handling 300watts
4 Ohms
Sensitivity 92db

dont worry about PEAK power, focus on the RMS range.

i like this amp for them? dont hear nothing bad about Hifonics, this was my 1st choice to run my CDT comps untill i went with JL Slash series.

Default your amps

If you are running rca cables to your deck make sure that you are not running them on the same side as the monster cable because the magnetic field of the cable will cause distortion.

Before changing your amp REroute the RCA's. OR - chances are you have a $5 set of RCAs (nothing against you but most people do untill they get engine noise like this). Go out and get a good set of RCAs. I used to know more about amp stuff when I was installing a bunch in HS. A lot has changed in the past 8ish years so i dunno. But - I would try that first. There is a VERY good chance that will solve your problem. Also - look for a place that will return them. That way if you arent happy even after the rca swap you can return them at no cost to you. Chances are - if you buy a better amp you will be running into the same issue and will have to get better wires anyway. thats just my 2cents. hope I helped ya.
