how did you get it so the needle didnt light up?

 

i cleared it all and then painted the tip a nice aqua blue color... and it changes color as the needle moves across the gradient.

there's a DIY in the tech section.. but even so.. it requires some electrical know-how and soldering abilities.

many people that don't have people in the area that know how usually ship them out to individuals who can. (including myself)

 

How hard is the soldering? I have some experience but not much.

Also, where do you recommend buying LEDs from?

soldering isn't too hard.. but then again i've swapped out thousands of these little suckers and even smaller sized ones.

if you know anything.. then you should be fine. ehh.. not hard to learn and get the hang of it. might just take awhile.. that's all.
