Default interior lights

well i had the factory led lighting kit, and i was in the midst of changing out the leds in the cup holders and stupid me touched the two wires toghter and now none of them work and i dont know where to look. and blown fuse or the switch, no clue....please help....

the factory option interior lights tap off the cig lighter..

check the fuse for that.. #34.. the inside fuse box

also i forgot... there should be an in-line fuse for the light kit itself as well...

you should be able to follow the wiring and find it.

now the question.... why was the power on when you were changing the leds? that would be the only way you can short it out....

they were on right?

yes because i was changing the switch and i had to add a little wire from mismeasuring and wanted to make sure i had the positive and negative wired right

but thanks for the info, i also did it to my other lights i have ran to my engine bay trunk and back seats, clumsy, but i didnt install those so hopefully i can call the people that did and see where they hid that darn fuse....lol....i have bad luck

any luck on finding were or if there is a in-line fuse tied in the factory wiring of the interior illum. lights??....i kinda done sumthing to the same effect awhile back i checked the fuse in the fuse box and its fine.....

yea as soon as you remove the part of the center console where the shifter is you will see it. its a bright yellow tube... cant miss it

Well this is interesting. This thread began in 2006 was resurrected in 2008 and again today. You don't see that everyday.
