Default IPOD Connection Error

I have a Gen III Ipod Classic that I tried hookin up to my IPOD Connector in my 2008 TC but when I select the IPOD function, it says that I need to plug an IPOD like its not reading it. Does anyone know what the problem is? Maybe loose connection in the center console?? If so, how do you go about tearin the center console apart to get to the connector??

Well first off you have a 2008 tC. Dont tear it apart because you can probably get free warranty service from the dealer. Try using a different iPod, that will narrow it down to an issue with your head unit/Connections or your iPod. If it is a problem with your iPod than you are SOL, if it is a problem with your Head unit / Connections than the dealer should repair that free of charge. (Assuming you havent passed 36,000 Miles.)

Classic!!

I've also heard that the cubby hole light sometimes is not attached to it's position on the center console.
It's an easy fix as well; just push the bulb and wire into place.
