Default LED kit?

Where would be the best place to buy a LED kit for gauges and HVAC along with the steering wheel controls and door lights.

I just created a new mod that requires NO cutting of traces and no runnign of resistors all over your board. I am waiting for parts to arrive so I can start offering the new kit. PM me for details if you like. The new kit will have an add on module with a few leads to solder to the main board, so it is much cleaner. I have run it over a week on my car (lights on day and night while driving) and completed some other testing. So it is ready to go as soon as supplies get here.

w00t! This may be my first mod.
Will we be able to use any old color? Personally, I want red (blue in a blue car is a little much). Don't blue LEDs run at a different voltage than the red?

The new design will come as a kit. Since it includes an external module to the main board, I dont plan on trying to put together a write up on how to build a circuit for this one. The old mod drew tons of questions from people trying to do them (which I dont mind answering, but it sometimes gets overwhelming ... literally 5 people a day sometimes, so it is hard to keep up with). The idea for this one is I offer a kit which takes the guesswork out of it for people.

The new mod still requires desoldering the LCD of course to get to those LEDs, so some people may still decide not to tackle that part themselves and still ship them off to squall, myself, etc to have them done. It really depends on your confidence in doing this type of work.

As far as color, if you use red, you dont need the mod, you can simply swap out the LEDs just as before. Red runs on a lower voltage than the other colors like blue, white and super green.

The full kit will include the module, complete instructions and all of the leds you need.

As far as pricing goes, I am not set up to advertise on here, so I wont go that route. For more info, people can pm me until I get a site setup. Yes... thats right, I am finally getting around to actually advertising this online. The main reason is due to some other mods I am wanting to get out there. Time is not always of abundance for me with the career and family, so stuff like that gets put on the back burner, which I am trying to get to now

hey.... dave... can you pm me the module design? i figure you have it at hand even if you're not willing to post a diy.

and i completely understand the questions that come in on just the current design.. ... yea.... my inbox never stays under 100% full anymore.... ... i just gave up deleting pms and let them delete themselves after new ones come in...
