Default LED wiring question

So my first mod to the car is going to be some nice LED lights in the interior, but I want to set them up with a switch in a specific way.

Basically I want them to come on with the dome light when a control switch is off, and to remain on without the dome light when the switch is on.

After thinking about this a bit, the project seems much more difficult than I initially thought. Any help?

*Edit* I'm installing footwell and other interior LEDs.

hm im sure u can do that, but im no expert

maybe if you have two switches

one that controls the led's on and off

and maybe another to control the signal coming from the dome lights, to turn that signal on and off?

im pretty confused, but i think if i had to do it, id probably end up doing two switches lol

srry if that doesnt help.

go with a switch like this guy

http://www.oznium.com/gsw-45

and get the on - off - on switch.

you can then wire in the dome supervison wire into one "on" position to send a negative signal to your LED relay, and the other "on" position to ground.

if you want some help with more specific wiring lemme know, but get yourself a rocker switch like this ;)
