Light bulb replacement next to Auto shifter..
I removed the trim to replace the light bulb that lights up P, R, N, D,etc. Anyway I replaced the bulb, and put everything back together. It makes a strange noise when shifting from Park to anything else. The plastic piece that the light bulb
was in I snapped into the trim piece above it, and snapped that in where it goes. It was super easy, but not sure why its making a little noise. It sounds like hard plastic is getting hit when shifting. Nothing is in the way though.

There are a couple of plastic pieces that the metal shaft assembly passes through right under the shift gate. You probably have them misaligned after reinstall and that's causing the grinding noises when you change drive selections. There is one piece that needs to sit properly in a track and the second piece kind of like an oval shape that "rotates" around the metal shaft at different angles when going through the drive selections. When your changing the drive selections look down in the gate area and you'll see the oval piece changing angles as you go through the selections. That piece and the piece below need to be aligned properly so it doesn't grind/bind as you change drive selections.
