17Hz......dayum that's low!!!!!!!

is it ported or sealed???

is it tuned to 17Hz or was that the loudest tone you put to it???

How much power do you have running to it??? and what sub/amp(s) are they???

that is rather retarded...(in a good/funny way)...or i guess you could say rediculous...hehe.....nice job though!!!

Your right, thats pretty retarded.
Honestly, I never could understand ear drum splitting sound systems.

Maybe I'm just old. Where did I put that 8 track?

Sealed 10 cubic foot box, I ran a sine sweep from 60 down to 1...loudest was 17 at the 141.2...at 10 it was still hitting a 138. Roughly 1000W...I couldn't turn my HU past 54/80 because the VC started smelling bad.

The sub is a 1 off 18" IB subwoofer designed for a guy here at eD. My friend bought it off him and has it in his van. Normally fed with about 500 watts....sounds damn good like that. The amp...we originally had a Nine.1 hooked to it, then went with the Tsunami DB1800T just for a ridiculous amount of power ;)

And Joehnn...I'm not into ripping apart my eardrums either...this sub is intended for a caravan...box makes more sense in there....it's just a really nice sub w/ ridiculous low end extension ;)

and really, 141 isn't that loud......sure it's too much for alot of people.....but isn't hard to achieve....

I'm sure with the 500 watts in something with alot of room in it like a van, that sub sounds damm good....

right.......I'd hate to see that thing in action with a tuned port.......probably gain quite a few dB's with the 1000watts...

edit:

that dB at that Hz....I'll bet it makes your ___ vibrate....

OK, just pulling your leg a little based on the thread title. Its your vehicle and if you like it that is what counts.

whats the point?? Ok you have a ton of bass but now you have no backseat. and the box is hella ugly. Im surpised the hatch even shuts. But I'm sure is could give you a heart attack in the front seat or make you pass out at least. E for effort and creativity but f for appearance.

Oh...need to clarify something...

this is NOT my real install...that sub/box is for my friends caravan...we just put it in the tC to meter it....My real install will be INFINITELY better...but first I need to put the inside back in...

Remember my walk through? It'll be getting bigger...soon ;)

Teaser pic as soon as Ben uploads it for me.

Actually, that sub really doesn't suck....HUGE difference between an AC and a termlab. And what frequency was yours at? 17Hz is unheard of as a "loud" note ;)

20 Years from now:

-Hey do you remeber that kicking system we had in my car?

-Heh? What kind of jar?

-No, not a jar...my CAR! Rember that great stereo?

-Oh yeah. That was a big sub.

-What? Did you say pig club?

-Never mind.
