Yikes! What's "everything" that stays on? I've disconnected my battery countless times, and haven't had anything like this happen. Have you checked the wires are all connected correctly? Have you referred to the owners manual about possible resetting of these items? I know the windows needed to be reprogrammed...

What year tC do you have? Is this the only thing that's changed?

The clock stays on when the car is off, however none of the other electrical components should when your key is out. Frankly, that's damn near impossible to do by just installing a headunit.

if its just the clock its normal... the clock is always on... if its other stuff like the actual head unit or the instrument cluster then there is a wiring issue

check the wiring in your headunit, maybe you wired the power to constant on. Your radar is on cig lighter or hardwired?

i ran the power just like the stock unit, got a harness that fits on the new unit to connect to the stock harness, thats it.. its not just the head unit that wont turn off when i dont have my key in, my radar wouldn't turn off either..

I bet that will solve the problem, could be a faulty pin pattern on the HU harness.

yea, i would just start all over again and see if you guys screwed up somewhere.... and i would check the fuses just in case... you never know!

theres fuses under the dash by the pedals, and one box of fuses under the hood near the intake and battery.

good luck!

The fuses shouldn't cause anything to stay on, they would only break due to a short or something.

Sounds like either the harness or the radio is passing 12v constant back through the ignition...

That's what I was thinking. I find it more likely that it would be the harness though.
