Pioneer GM-7100M 800 Watt Mono Amplifier -- rated at 250w RMS x 1 @ 4ohm. Given you've wired each sub @ 2ohm, you're only getting 125w RMS to each sub.

Pioneer GM-5100T 760w 2 channel amp--> Rated at 190w RMS x 2 @ 2ohm.
Wait...if its rated 250 x 1 @ 4ohm..and he's got 2 subs wired @ 2 ohms, then he's gonna get MORE than 250 to one mono channel. The subs don't split the power, they SHARE it. if it was 125 x 2 @ 2ohm then each sub would be getting 125.

resistance is not addition. 2 4ohm speakers bridged is 2 ohms. 2 2ohm speakers bridged is 1 ohm.

Do you understand how small the difference is between 125 and 190 watts? It would be 2dB, at most. Nothing wrong with the amp he got, the subs will play far more than "loud enough already", even if they're only getting 125w each.
